SCAM call claiming to be Total Energy Gas. Caller provided some detail about our account and asking for contract details. Caller was abrupt and insistent on speaking to person responsible for the account. Calling number now blocked at company portal.

I received a phone call, no one spoke on the line, then they disconnected the call. I then blocked their number.

Incoming call from this number that was silent for about 10 seconds and then an automated voice said they were trying to connect you and then it immediately went to number unobtainable tone.

Phone showed incoming call as a suspected spam call. I still answered the phone respectfully. It was a Blank call. Strange thing happened just before the call came - my laptop went into Airplane mode so no access to the internet. As soon as I reconnected the call came syraight through! I wonder if there is a connection or is it just coincidence!!

Only answered this as it was from a local area number. An automated message "Your Account has had two unknown withdrawals" etc. I rang off straightaway as it was obviously a scam. No genuine bank or financial institution would call using this type of automated method and message.
