scam call trying to be E.on next. Couldn't tell me my account number even though he (Reece) rang me and said he was from said company. Then tried to control the situation trying to make me give information as according to the GDPR!! utter nonsense, if he can't give me my info from a company i have a contract with because of GDPR then why call me? also threatened if i didn't give him the information to settle the account and it be done today i would be hit with a £1000 out of contract bill! Automated call informing my bank account had put on hold a payment of £120 for a train ticket and to select a number to speak to someone. Checked, number doesn't exist and part of a scam by pretending to be your bank and getting details from you. Seems thieves are using AI too, activity from potential scams has increased.
