Female caller talked about £500 coming out of my account (Amazon) and another £1000 from another company. I was requested to press 1 or 2 for reasons which I can't remember. I immediately put the phone down. It was obviously some sort of scam.

this number called saying £300 taken from card account paying Amazon, and 1000 money transfer made. Sounded a recorded message. I hung up telephone. Tried calling number , answer was phone number not recognised.

Recorded voice message tells you £300 as been taken out by amazon the over a £1000 by international account. Does not tell which bank. As my number belongs to a private organisation and the call did not come from Macclesfield we would recommend putting the phone down.
