If you research other numbers that have called us saying the exact same thing they also claim to be SSE, along with many other utility companies. Hostile, rude and if you try to hang up and manage to, they instantly call you back and are even more rude. If you do speak to these people be cautious in what information you give to them.

scam call trying to be E.on next. Couldn't tell me my account number even though he (Reece) rang me and said he was from said company. Then tried to control the situation trying to make me give information as according to the GDPR!! utter nonsense, if he can't give me my info from a company i have a contract with because of GDPR then why call me? also threatened if i didn't give him the information to settle the account and it be done today i would be hit with a £1000 out of contract bill!
