Claimed to be from currys regarding washing machine insurance I pay by direct debit and were reducing the monthly payment but needed bank shirt code, when I told him I didn't know it he said its cancelled and hung up - I checked with currys and it was a scam.

The number calling was a local area code and number so i answered, a British accent saying my bank account ( but not naming the bank which i found odd. ) I had an unusual transaction for train ticket purchased Edinburgh to London which i had never used before. Then she said press 1 if the transaction was yourself or 2 to speak to an advisor. I pressed 2 and was met by a lady with an American accent with a pre recorded message ......Obviously a SCAM so i just hung up. I tried ringing the number back on a few occasions but got a constant engaged tone ..BEWARE

Yet another of these calls by robot trying to gain access to my house on the pretext of checking insulation. Yes I am 135 years old!

Scam/dangerous call. Long pause on answering, then "Can you hear me?" The automated (AI?) voice then claims to be "James" a "local energy advisor". I am not in the 01206 area code, so this definitely is not "local". Also, this "James" has called numerous times, from other numbers (none of which have been local to me). Calling the number back (withholding my number) results in a voice saying, "Welcome to the energy department, press 1 to speak to an advisor." Pressing one results in the same message being repeated.
