Unsolicited call to my work phone, asked for one of the directors by name, I said he wasn't available and asked what it was regarding he said he said the persons job title and asked if that was correct, I didn't confirm but asked him where he was calling from and he hung up. Having looked at other sites scam or phishing call. Number now blocked!

The lady claimed to be from Fonehouse, although I had to ask her three times before she mentioned it. I suspect this was a phishing attempt.

Young man, good clear English, spoke quickly about loft insulation and how my home still had the old stuff and would I like a survey to see if I was eligible for new insulation. His introduction lasted about 1 minute and I listened quietly. I hesitated before answering his first question as to whether I still had old insulation - I didn't just say 'yes' or 'no'. He then repeated an odd phrase that he'd said before, in exactly the same way. This was odd and I hesitated some more. He repeated the same phrase again, like a malfunctioning robot! I realised I wasn't talking to a person but a recording designed to make me think I was interacting with a real person. I put the phone down. I was connected for 2 to 3 minutes. Assume this kind of call is used to establish whether I'm a good target for future scam calls?

Persistent - I declined the call 3 times but thought it may be important and called back when I was free. They said they were calling from Sky, my TV provider. I am not with Sky so determined it was spam and ended the call.
