Called by this number and was stated as being from the fraud department with the co-operative bank. They informed me that a payment was presented to john Lewis in Liverpool and wanted to know if I had made the attempt. They appeared pretty convincing and even new my address and card details. They wanted me to respond to a text message so that I could change some security details via my phone and wanted me to do this instantly. This made me suspicious. I asked them to phone me back some hours later. in the interim, I called my bank to ask if their fraud department had called me and they informed me that they had not. The number did try again but I did not answer it. I have now blocked them. I suspect that if I have responded to their text, my phone and account would have been comprised. Be alert Folks.
