Claimed to be from my bank re transactions with Amazon and Zoo that I had not used before. Asked me to press 1 to approve transaction and 2 to speak to someone.

Claimed to be from Openreach checking up on faults on my broadband. I am with a local area independent fibre optic company so I said " Of course you are" and hung up. Question: why is a national telephone landline company using a mobile phone to contact individual customers?
