Message purporting to tell me of some suspicious transactions on my credit card. Assumed to be fake as Natwest would not contact me from a random mobile phone number and fail to identify themselves.

Caller never says who they are but its a computer voice telling me that there has been suspicious spending on a card/account (never actually specified) to both Amazon and Boots, then suggests that you can speak to a member of their security team, as if i want to waste yet more of my precious time.

Scam - they phoned my elderly mother telling her that her cards have been used and 2 transactions have gone out of her accounts one for £900 and one for £200 in Amazon... I phoned the number back and they answered but didnt speak a word.. Why dont these people XXXX off and stop preying on elderly people
