Only answered this as it was from a local area number. An automated message "Your Account has had two unknown withdrawals" etc. I rang off straightaway as it was obviously a scam. No genuine bank or financial institution would call using this type of automated method and message.

I received a phone call, no one spoke on the line, then they disconnected the call. I then blocked their number.

Alfie from BT is my account manager and regularly calls me on this number to discuss the services on my account. If you're unsure whether he's genuinely from BT, just ask for his employee ID and then contact BT through a number you trust to verify it. Just keep in mind, calling the general BT customer service line might take the case away from your dedicated account manager, which isn't really fair if they're already handling your account personally.
